Colne Medical Centre Service Update

From Monday 20th July you will be able to book telephone consultations online.

The bookings will be available for the same day only and will become available at 08:00, the system will work in the same way as open access surgery and bookings cannot be made days in advance.

Book via the NHS App, practice website or directly through your online Patient Access Account. You can still call our reception team to book a telephone consultation on 01206 302522 after 08:30.

The practice has seen a large increase in the amount of telephone consultation requests and I would like to make you aware that the following reasons should not be booked in for telephone consultations with your GP.

  • For medication reviews please ask reception to book an appointment with the clinical pharmacist.
  • Requests for continuing sickness certificates can be made via the practice website or the reception team.
  • Muscular problems, please ask reception to book directly with the physiotherapist who will assess you and forward as appropriate either for Xray, to your GP, or for further treatment.
  • To chase referrals, query a hospital referral or if you have been told your appointment has been “cancelled” you should call the hospital Outpatient Contact Centre (OCC) in the first instance on 01206 747576. If you have been referred to an ACE service you should contact ACE Community Gateway on 03000032144.
